Gumnut, the AwFL keep bleating on about wanting to get rid of this behavior. They then hand out fines that are no deterrent. All they are doing is condoning it. Masten IS a serial offender. Why is he not suspended. The only deterrent is suspension as the coaches will then enforce the policy. Same with wrestling. It only happens because the players know they will get suspended for punching. Throwing punches was common before video replays but stopped when the suspensions started being handed out.
Don't say we don't want to see players suspended for these sort of offences, no we don't, but we don't want the game to turn into world wide wrestling either.
