From the vision I looked at, I would have thought the sanction should have been more severe.

Luke Shuey given a $2000 fine for kneeing Bailey Banfield.

So that was another piece of biased umpiring that could have impacted on the result. Fido gets a free kick for his efforts and from memory a goal was the result. Potentially a 2 goal turnover when you consider that we should have received a free for rough conduct. From our guys reaction they still haven't forgiven him for the Suban dog attack.

The most surprising thing about the whole affair, is that you are surprised by the MRP treatment of a serial offender in Derbies, and as for the other hero kneeing Banfield, we will watch with interest when a Freo player does anything similar. Of course the force used by Freo players exceeds the threshold allowable by the MRP.

So, from two low-life dog acts against us that went punished with imposing mediocrity by the MRP, and even less scrutiny by the local media, the Toilet received a free kick from which they goaled and the other went conveniently unnoticed by all three umpires. Outstanding.
Today, from the scum supporters at work I received nothing but sheepish, knowing smiles, because at last the penny is dropping that they are being given another armchair ride. A bit hard to argue with the level of bias displayed yesterday. A club built by self-righteous redneck bastards for self-righteous redneck bastards.

In answer to Mr Raglan I'm actually not surprised by the MRP decisions. They got it right and punished both indiscretions but surely the umpires who condoned this behavior and even, in Fido's case, protected the offending mongrel and therefore they should not be umpiring next week for allowing this behavior.

I've probably told this story before - maybe not:

When I was a kid I had a paper route after school. One day a dog bit through my levis - when I got home my Mom phoned the cops. They came around after dinner to check if the bite broke my skin - it had, barely, on my calf. The cops put me in the car and they drove over to the house with the dog, dragged the German shepherd out onto the front lawn and shot him with a 12 gauge. I think I was about 8 at the time but I'll never forget the sight of that dog laying dead in the snow. The old guy cancelled his subscription and that was that.

So yeah, Maston can consider himself very lucky indeed.

Levis were actually Levis back then - they only came in one colour, you had to button them up and you could wrastle a bear in 'em. I tell you what, if I was wearing what some of those WC supporters were wearing yesterday the cops probably would've put my parents down - yeah, and I wouldn't have any legs left from that dog either.
