Not doing much at Peel but think he should take Johnno's spot in the team. Need to get games into him with the other young backmen to build on what is already developing.

Was U18 all Australian CHB so should stay as a backman and release Blakely into regular mid. Stop trying to make him a fwd.

Johnno is now a liabilty because he now only has a short kick which on most occasions gets turned over and struggles to bend over for ground balls. Been good over the years but time to move aside.

I thought our back line had lost the plot until Johnson was sent back down there in the second half. Only Ross Lyon seemed to know what Johnson's job was supposed to be, wandering around behind the play.

I was at the game and our backline looked damn good in the first half working the ball out of the WC forward bowl, thats partly why we were doing ok until umpire intervention swung momentum toward the WC.

Apeness is due for a recall. He had good numbers at Peel yesterday but does he need to consolidate his form. Cox could be an inclusion to help Sandi cause I think he’s at breaking point.

I thought we brought Cox in last year to play forward, back-up ruck and in the defensive hb wing - essentially anywhere. But the idea was to burn him out and then toss him back to the magoos before giving him the old heave-ho at the end of this year. Can we throw in someone we drafted last year to sustain the debutant rhetoric a bit longer?

Sounds similar to our treatment of Nyhuis Polly. Although we have played Duman after a couple of years on the list.

I'd be very disappointed if we delisted him after two seasons on the list although he is going to struggle to get a gam in our backline which is where he played all his football until last year.

Griffin Logue is the one earmarked to take over from Johnno, it appears.
Nyhuis and Duman are also battling it out amongst themselves so there are three for one position. Dont forget Spurr is also in the wings.

I was originally a big wrap for both Cox and Luke Ryan. Ryan is a star but the jury is still out on Cox, mainly I think due to lack of speed and agility. I may be mistaken on that. Either way our back line is looking great I think.

Johnno needs to be treated by the club with the utmost respect. This player was once the best back man in the League, along with McPharlap and All Australian. He wasnt fussed to play on this year in fact wanted to retire but the club asked him to to help cover in case the youngsters werent up to it or Alex Pearce broke down. Then Logue got his growth plate injury and Johnno is loyally serving us again. He will do whatever the club asks of him. I just hope he gets a right royal send off when that time comes.

Johnno should not have been rucking yesterday, especially at centre bounces. He was always going to struggle against Lycett and captain overhyped.

Why we would ask a 32+ year old to play that role is crazy.

Playing Apeness in that role is crazy as well. Kid has bad knees and we want him to contest hit outs?!

Unfortunately, we need to play whoever we recruited as a ruckman, whether they are ready or not.
