I try desperately to remain objective about the umpiring decisions but even the commentators were surprised at the lack of decisions when there were at least two obvious 'holding the ball' cases inside our forward 50 against WC in the last quarter. I would not worry about this if we lost by 20-30 points but we lost by 8. Umpiring decisions (or lack of) did crool our chances.
Btw Ryan and Langdon are A grade players.

I saw a throw, I saw quite a few throws by the WC,
and they were just let go.

But the best throw I saw was the one by Darcy Tucker (think it was him) chucking that egirl off Mundy who was just laying into Mundy.
Still don't understand why the eagle got a free kick.

the umpires were fine, there were plenty of close calls and they usually got it right (not always of course). You just feel gipped because you are seeing it through your own prism.

Several times the Umps put the whistle up in front of their mouths and then waved play on in front of the City end goals.. Several times there was a delay in the whistle because the controlling Ump waved play on and the Ump 50 plus metres away paid a free.
Not sure if I was more frustrated by the ball not bouncing into our arms and bouncing into theirs or the inconsistent umpires,
McCarthy did not get fifty metres when McGovern carried on tackling after he had marked 50 metres out because one umpire played the mark but McGovern heard the ump closer to the contest yelled play on.
