Transport to and from the ground seems to be running fairly smoothly. I have found the bus 659 to be quite good and haven’t heard too many people complaining about the train.

Driving and parking nearby is probably a bit difficult and expensive I imagine.

The only improvement I could suggest is the buses run longer than 1 hour after the game (less frequently obviously)

We decided to head into the city after the game rather than the Camfield. 5 minute queue to get on one of the 661s and were in the city a few minutes later. Some doggie supporters from Melbourne were on the bus and reckoned our public transport is better than from the MCG or Etihad.

Last time I checked buses were those big green things that got in my way while driving

Last time I was on one was probably still the MTT

But like King 26 - the 659 is a bloody beaut - to and from the game

Agree. The 653 (the footy-mad country cousin of the legendary 950) is getting us Beaufortians there and back again excellently.

My concern, though, is next week. Surely Slimers won't be allowed to go to the game on our buses (Getting home won't be a problem- they'll have caught early ones).

I hopped on my deadly treadly as usual, and had no trouble on the way there. On the way home the dual use path was crammed with people walking, so I tootled along, giving the occasional gentle "ting" on my bell. Until that is, I spotted a woman ahead who was clearly wearing an Eagles jumper, so I donned my best official voice and said, "All people wearing Eagles jumpers, please move to one side"

Eagle supporters will find it all next week thinking how they will cope having to share the transport after the game if they lose. They forget that they leave early if they a losing by two goals at three quarter time. Bring it On!
