They have, but it is very lame, especially compared to Subiaco's. If this is the best they can do then I am ashamed and bewildered. I hope there is more to come.
In a brief statement released on Saturday morning Dockers president Dale Alcock said: "It was with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of former Fremantle player Shane Yarran.
"On behalf of the players, staff and board of the Fremantle Football Club, we extend our deepest sympathy to Shane's family and friends."
In a statement the Subiaco Football Club said Yarran had built strong relationships with Subiaco’s players, coaches and support staff through his involvement with the club.
"Subiaco’s coaches and players have been actively involved with assisting Shane’s rehabilitation in recent months and are shattered that they have not been able to make a difference," the statement said.
"Everyone involved with the Subiaco Football Club is deeply saddened by Shane’s sudden passing and the club wishes to pass on its deepest sympathies to Shane’s immediate family, extended family, friends and other loved ones."
