Doubling down, Noddy?
It's not really sexual harrassment if....
what? It's very, very dangerous ground to be seen to condone any form of inappropriate behaviour.
What you might be getting at is people making vexatious complaints with no basis in fact, or exaggerating the nature of whatever happened, perhaps for personal gain. That has certainly happened but the proportion of cases of that nature within the total is tiny. There is a very real problem that relates to misuse of power, position or privilege and it boils down to abuse and betrayal. We shouldn't belittle that or seek to discredit claims without knowing details.
The payout is disturbing. Presumably both parties agreed to it, yet now it's out in the open. So there's a story in how it got out and who agreed to what. It's not a good look but screaming national headlines about it is a bit lame when you consider this is not the only case to ever hit the AFL.
