The Mundy family are just nice people in general. I was at the MCG a number of years ago on my lonesome to watch us vs Melbourne and I ended up sitting with a group of Freo supporters undercover who happened to be David Mundys family. They were really friendly, decent people and great to talk to throughout the game.
At the conclusion of the game it was pouring with rain so I told them I was going to wait under the cover of the stand until it stopped and then I would venture back to my hotel. They wouldn't have any of that and told me to follow them and if anyone asked any questions, to tell them I was an extended part of the Mundy family.
They took me down under the MCG into the change rooms to meet David, who was a terrific person himself and then introduced me to a whole heap of other Freo players. It was, all in all, an unexpected bonus considering we also won that day. It just shows the values of the whole Mundy family. Great people.
