Not seen johnno cement his spot at all this year. I remember the best game Leigh Brown ever played by far was as a spare down back (johnno role). Basically, he has not been flexible over last few years, no impact as a foward, not able to shut down an opponent. Johnno has given it all...he can still be of value at Peel in a coaching/mentoring role.

If we are wishing he was back after the weekend, we are in a lot of hurt.
He was a great stalwart of the club. Unfortunately his body can no longer do what the mind wants. He hardly gets out of a slow jog, struggles to bend his back. He definitely should of retired last year but he wanted to play at the new stadium which is understandable.
He was extremely poor against port Adelaide and simply not a total burden the 2 games after. I thought he was ok against gws.
But really we need to find better if we want to be relevant.
If we don’t then let’s simply keep being the freo we know. Great loyal supporters who barrack for a club with no success.
The AFL is serious business with little room for sentimental descions.
