The most noticeable thing from the last two weeks is the players working to their strengths and I suspect given enough freedom to do so. There looks to finally be some more fluency in how we move the ball and some more instinctive play.

There is certainly less flooding back from our forwards which you could say is a benefit of having a fit and skilful backline.

I was quite fearful we could revert to a game style of the last 3 years but the skills are actually looking a bit sharper. Still needs a lot of work obviously but hopefully this game style continues. Some weeks we will see the opposition get on top if our skills aren't sharp enough or we don't convert but it is definitely worth perservering with.

The players look to be enjoying themselves too which is a good indicator.

In the last quarter a GC player had a free kick for goal, and Luke Ryan standing the mark clearly touched it, and told the umpires he touched it before it went through the big sticks and was called a goal. Why didn't it go to score review?
