Hey placekick, it is Gold Coast we are talking about so I reckon why not go for a straight swap of Toms for the year, Sheridan for Lynch, sounds fair to me.

I wonder if Roly is trying to do the wrong kind of like for like for BHill.

Replacing somebody who's kicking is a bit off with somebody who's kicking is totally off.

Good to see we are working on our rebuild by getting games into the younger players to improve their development...oh wait.....

Tommy was kicking goals from the pocket on his own at training on Tuesday - maybe there is a different role for him?

Sheridan can run. Seriously run, gets close to B Hill. I'd love to see him get his kicking right, he's a good lad with a big heart.

Watch how much distance he covers on Sat he has some value.

Running is over-rated.
That’s why he and B. Hill can’t kick. They are knackered after all the running they do
Decent footballers know how to get the footy without having to cover 20 kms a game

RoLy often refers to rewarding players based on form. How did Tom S go last week in the WAFL?

It amazes me how incensed people get about one selection out of 22. Last week everyone was pretty happy with the squad that was named, which appeared to everyone to be a pretty good mix of youth and experience. They played great, and without an injury we would have gone in with an unchanged line-up.

But we did get an injury, and so we replaced an injured 24 year old running machine who can't kick with another 24 year old running machine who can't kick, and suddenly the match committee are total spuds. Sure, on the body of work so far you'd say Brad was a much better player, but on the strength of his two games so far I'm not convinced it's much of a downgrade. Players like Sheridan, Sutcliffe and D Pearce are still on the list and there to be picked in case of injuries. Two out of three have had a crack, now Sheridan gets a chance to show if he's improved over another offseason. If he hasn't, he'll be gone next week.

I love that we named an almost unchanged team. I love the Crowden gets another change to learn the pace of the game despite showing last week he was a little off it. I love that we're giving Matera and Ballas another run together despite them not quite clicking.

Trouble is Tommy's endurance run has rarely been utilised. He has been used principally across half back where some speed and burst run is needed, ala Ryan, Wilson and even Blakely. He rarely catches anyone and rarely beats an opponent one on one and his kicks are very shallow, with no penetration.Put him forward of the centre by all means but let's not pretend he is a defender or link player.

It doesn't amaze me... ...it's fair to say that Ross and the club are under pressure to perform
