Based on previous game experience and where we are heading in refreshing the playing group, I reckon the following guys are in the mix in putting pressure on for a game:
Bennell
Cox
Darcy
Grey
Hughes
Logue(barring any long term ankle injury issue)
Nyhuis
Spurr
Tucker.
That’s not a bad position to be in and there may be others who may show promise as the season unfolds.
For me, Sheridan and Sutcliffe will be used when required to rest some of the younger ones or fill gaps when injuries may arise.

Crowden is our little mongrel and he will get better. After being caught a couple of times he never dropped his effort. He was still flying in...give him a decent run. NO to Pearce in for Hill...backward step. No way...!!! Bring Kersten back as a defender and run Blakely through the middle. Strnadica in for Hill...anyone but poor old Danny boy.

Awww c'mon... it's not like either of the Hill brothers have immaculate disposal and never make a mistake...

D Pearse will go hard all day, run and give you 100%. He's also that similar type of link up player and unless you're coming up against some team of superstars with unique skills all over the joint you're more likely to try and keep like for like. Some of you could do with lifting the eyes and looking for a bit of what he does instead of fixing on errors and letting that dominate your thinking.
