the world seems full of these people now - lol,
is a bit like the light show and music, extraneous to the rest of the experience, doesn't belong there, irritating to true fans of the game/post, and a result of marketing nitwits and subliminal advertising. Listen to the true believers and leave it where it belongs, at the stadium every second week (not counting half of next week)/ on efh.

Oh and also, be a bit more aware of who you associate with, some dangerous habits creeping in.

Congratulations to everybody who enjoyed their match day experience, but the light show during the on field post game interviews was a TV production nightmare. The camera it trying to adjust to varying light levels in real time, and the result looks like balls. Almost unwatchable. Other than quickly whipping out a portable backdrop*, which would at least reduce the problem to dealing with reflections only, I'll suggest that Ch7 & Fox will be having words with FFC and the stadium.

You might have just been unlucky Polly (or temporarily invisible) but the Special Event busses are ‘limited stop’, meaning they only stop at stops that have a black stadium logo on the top. Might be worth checking.

Agree with most on the stadium itself. I think it’s great. The location seems to make things a bit difficult, but in the next few years the kinks will get worked out.

I don’t notice the cheesy commercial hullabaloo because I’m normally getting beers. My tip: don’t get the Alby. I swear it’s Carlton Mid in disguise.

Don't start me on Pies. I was looking forward to a half time pie with Mrs Purple. They were as easy to find as our Forwards in the Forward line.

What food vendor doesn't have pies ready at Half time FFS at a game of footy???

On balance I just think that the importance of those crowd activation things is overrated. The game was a good one, the weather was great and I had a good time.

Sure, I think the guy with the microphone needs speech therapy, I've had better beer at other places (who hasn't) and my choice of tunes would've been different. I thought the sound system and lights didn't live up to the hype. Big deal - and it isn't all that important really. Nor was the bus problems i had - it was better than I thought it would be.

What would've made it a better experience? Easy - Fyfe not missing that set shot from 20m out in the 4th, Bradley not going down with that knee knock, Matera not screwing those shockers off his wrong-un, Stephen not gifting that goal out of the square. But none of those really mattered anyway - we were playing to win and we were playing to our strengths as a team. Yep, that made the experience a good one for me.

One thing I noticed was that even though it was blowing a gale outside the stadium, inside there didn't seem to be a breath of wind. Perhaps that was peculiar to where I sit (top tier in the NW pocket), but the players didn't seem to have any trouble with their set shots.

What was the wind like closer to ground level?

I was sitting behind a bloke who went to town on a couple of chilli dog in the first quarter. So the wind got progressively worse.

Forget the light show at Perth Stadium. Someone needs to do something about the sun in Melbourne right now - half the MCG is sunny, half in shade, very hard to watch on TV.
