Jason, if you're serious about a rebuild you need to trial a lot of players and keep building everyone even if it means having a suboptimal team on the park some weekends. In a couple of years you want about 30 players who are capable of slotting into the team and knowing what to do. Obviously you are going to have to reward good performances but you need to be taking a long term view not just playing your best 22. For whatever reason, some of them won't be available at the business end. Selection is tough enough in a settled side but it's a real bag of conflicts in a rebuild.
