As Brad Bloodnut said last week, the team looks great on paper it’s a shame we play on grass.

Looking forward to the game with rabid excitement, new era at the new stadium. Can’t wait for TNT to be thumping through the ground after we smash the bummers

Good to see Crowden, Cerra in. Maybe Hopefully Johnno won't be in a position where he is chasing Tipungwuti, ala Motlop last week. That chase shouldn't have been happening and also, it is not that Johnno is slow, he has been able to manage for years, but the fact that he looked like he was really labouring to run at all in that Motlop chase.

This team is concerning. Who'll be to blame when all the usual escaped goats have been omitted?

Our bench has a whole 2 games experience between then!

Ballas is still in the team so there is one scapegoat left.

I'm hoping connor can lock down merrett or heppell. I think the balance of the team is better than last week. I'm just hoping McCarthy and Tabs can kick a couple of bags between them

I look at that team and there isn't a selection error for the first time ever under Lyon, including the good years. If we play like last week my head will implode.

So let's not go criticising my gameplan, Yeti. If the players can't execute, and you'd think that the talent brought in are skilled enough, the result is inevitable, But its about effort. Youth will bring enthusiasm and that should lead to effort. Then they need to sustain it. The gameplan works, just you wait and see.

Smallest, shortest forward line in the AFL?

The_Yeti
That shouldn't make any difference, Shane.

Roly's game plan doesn't need a forward line

Is this the first Freo team ever to have a complete rookie bench?

I like the team for many reason. Where they play is another matter. I would think Hamling and Pearce are the KPPs and Johnno is given the role of interceptor and play maker with Ryan and Wilson.
Peel could have a strong side this weekend going on the omits and emergencies.
PS: On the bench is our future. Looking forward to watching the youth doing their thing.
