Jezza is more likely someone associated with the Freo cheer squad.
I believe the march, was conceived with good intentions as a way to celebrate the Dockers first match at the new Optus Stadium.
As stated by others if the Matagarup bridge was built, the cheer squad would be starting the march in East Perth.
The walk bridge is not built, so it starts near Crown who put a service on, so people who want a drink can do so prior to the start of the march.
Crown benefits in advertising so what, beats the alternative of eskies with wheels.
This is a one off event, so I highly doubt the kiddies will turn into problem gamblers in ten years time because they took a Saturday afternoon stroll along the river. Some of the cynical exaggerated comments is bordering on idiotic.
If you want to play the blame game for the stadium location, talk to previous Liberal Govt. If you have a sudden need to buy an Optus mobile maybe have a chat with Mark McGowen, you might even get a discount for being a FFC member.
People’s the march is just a celebration.
March, don’t march, don’t care, whatever. Just stop being a bunch of wet blankets.
