Blue1Red1, I have my thoughts on kicking for goal. When training for this, I'd like the posts to be 2m apart. When the ball goes through them, lights flash and trumpets play. When you miss by a little, nothing, silence. When you kick a genuine point, the claxon sounds.
I know the players care about accuracy when kicking for goal in training, but it doesn't hurt to make them care more. It doesn't hurt to get them trained to think that a shot dead through the centre is better than one that goes close to either post.

You’d think that skills would be your starting point not something that you need reminding about. You can have all the game plans and all the fitness etc but if you can’t execute the skills what the point. Give me 22 skilful players and they could win a flag without a game plan.

And what’s will the 20 min malarkey. Barely enough time to put out the witches hats and bring them back in.

DBTS, the lack of gutter level attacks on all and sundry and the more restrained language (thanks for that Mr Richmond) should indicate you are a long way from an eagles site. The thing that I enjoy about this site is the robust discussion when there is a difference of opinion, without resorting to abusive language and some of the more vile language on other sites.
