Cerra and Crowden the standouts for mine
Switoski very poised with ball in hand
Jones competed strongly in the air over and over. Dropped a few but followed up every time and tried hard at ground level
The others were all good
Hughes had a bad one (nothing went right) and Darcy was a bit underwhelming
But honestly, it was not much more than a training drill with Claremont not firing a shot

Would have to be premiership favourites again. You'd have to say we have recruited far better than Meth Coast. We seem to have quite a number of players good enough to step up whereas they have next to none.

It's a bad indictment on your recruiting staff when an AFL aligned team in W.A. can't make the finals.

CA, you may not have been reading the worst last September, but I did and from information gleaned I know that Freo and Peel rorted the system while those honest to goodness folks at wc/east perth were Paragons of Virtue in their following of the spirit of the law.

Let's not forget that east perth made the GF in the 2014 season...the first year of the current alignment . They were disgraceful (wc contingent) and appeared not totally committed on the day. We have one thing to say to them: Boohoo

Freo and Peel did rort the system though. It's not something to be proud of.

At least they followed the letter of the law. As it was written.

From the peel website:
Peel Thunder have enjoyed a 59 point victory against Claremont on Saturday 10/3 at Claremont Oval. Whilst recognising that Claremont were missing 5 or so regulars we were really pleased with how the Peel boys attacked the game.

We played 25, 13 Peel based players and 12 Fremantle and the synergy and bond between the group was evident early through actions on field.

Despite losing the toss and kicking against a stiff breeze Peel were quickly into gear and tackled strongly early setting the tone for the game. Lawler and Switkowski along with Crowden continually hassled the opposition into error giving the Peel forwards opportunity.

Peel lead by 12 points at quarter time and extended that lead to 32 points by half time.

The second half mirrored the first with Peel eventually running out winners 13.11 to 4.6.

Better players for Peel were Ben Howlett, Gerald Ugle, Adam Cerra, Taylin Duman, Ryan Nyhuis, Mitch Crowden and Scott Jones.

What was also pleasing was the results in 16s, colts and Senior Development which gives Peel a great start albeit in a practice match as we all prepare for the big first game versus East Fremantle on 30/3.

This week we play Subiaco at Bendigo Bank Stadium, followed by our Season Launch at 6.30pm - we invite everyone to come down and support the boys.
