I was surprised to read The Colonel's comment above, so went and looked again at the video footage on The Worst's website, slowed it down, watched again and it's true! Tubby McGovern and Gray are both running hard towards the ball, Gray seems to anticipate a bump and braces for it, Tubby seems to make a late decision to bend and pick the ball up, maybe thought he'd won the foot race, and the left side of his face collides with Gray's shoulder, but the bruise (mentioned again, and again, by commentators) is on his right cheekbone. So was he genuinely hurt by Gray, or not?
