I'm from the country so not a member so for me this raises the following questions in my mind.

i. All our members are completely satisfied with their seating?
ii. Our club were better at dealing with this issue than the slime?
iii. Having been there and seen it, why is the railing so high? Is there some regulation on this?
iv. Are our members having the same problems but Freo are doing nothing about it, as in like it or lump it?
v. Why aren't these seats with restricted views cheaper?

Freo membership dept. says the seats in question are either being taken out of use or offered to the club member at reduced cost.

I had a few issues with our seats - when we moved to them there was no indication they were obstructed in any way, but when I checked out our seats we had a railing right in our field of view. I went down to the club and we got some new seats. It was pretty annoying because our news seats are objectively worse (not accounting for the railing), but at least we got seats together in our large group.

West Coast has less wiggle-room, because the stadium is basically full. So, if you're in a group, and an unexpected pole is in your way, your options are pretty limited.

I really don't understand why they are so high. They're nothing like that at the Melbourne stadiums. About the only person who would have any chance of somehow stupidly falling over one would be Sandi.

All stadia have issues with restricted viewing seats (see the picture from Etihad below). The problem was that even though Freo's Admin can't go five minutes without mentioning due diligence, they didn't bother doing any on whether the seats they were flogging to their members were any good, nor did they give their members the chance to do their own due diligence by allowing them to see their actual view from their seat on the online portal.

My experience was that as a 20 member I went from being able to choose seats toward the front of the queue, to needing to replace my bung seats from whatever dregs were left.

Freo mostly got away with it because disgruntled supporters like me could at least be placed elsewhere. That's not necessarily the case for WCE supporters.

As a result of the steel bar fiasco, my seat is now 10 seats across and 2rows behind our other two seats. It was either that or seats considerably worse.

Was never offered a decreased price. Hoping some nice people next to me may be comfortable switching with my wife and son.
