OK I know I'm early but anyone planning a trip to Darwin. Do the Club usually sell tickets to these games so can sit with other Freo supporters - can't get through on phone still busy. Want to get in early as It may be hard to get accommodation that time of year. Will spend a week there so any ideas on good hotels. Thanks for any input DLs.

Anywhere but the Quest. Had a room next to woolies all night loading bay. Beep beep reversing, forklifts and trucks all friggin night. Avoid at all costs. Stay on the esplanade...

July 7 - that could work for me. Many years ago I went to TIO to watch us get demolished by the Bulldogs. Ignoring our poor performance, it was a great trip and I recommend the experience. It would be wonderful to have a bunch of Dockerlanders there. We are months away, but think about it everyone.

Went up a few years ago to watch a game when Morabito was making his comeback. Definitely recommend the hotels on the esplanade or in the new waterfront precinct. Just remember; what happens on Mitchell Street stays on Mitchell Street..

Agree with Suker. Stay on the Esplanade or down around the Harbour area. Some nice places there.

If you do stay on the Esplanade however, carry industrial strength mossie repellent. Those mongrels can carry off small kids down there...even in the daylight

Tks everyone - all booked for week in Darwin but couldn't afford Esplanade as peak period and want to do some tourist stuff as well. Originally club said had to get own tickets but after recent email re away games I phoned again and today was advised they get an allocation of seats from club we are playing and they will send notification on receipt of these, so can sit with other 'purple people'.
