Here's the thing that's always worried me about the transport away from the stadium, after the game. Transperth have some KPIs that they are happy to point to about moving X number of people out of the stadium precinct after an event. They seem to meet this target. But, what about those who are trying to catch a southbound train from Perth station? Does anyone know if the transport plan includes putting on more capacity (i.e., trains, people who drive the trains) so that we can expect to not wait long at Perth Station for a Mandurah-bound train. Or, do the Mandurah-bound trains just run on whatever schedule they are on, except now there will be double, triple, quadruple the number of people trying to catch the train southbound.
Something tells me I'll be spending a lot of time on a platform or standing up in a train, packed like sardines, on a train that doesn't move, even though Transperth will tout that its reached its KPIs.
