In other news it was great to see S Yarran has been picked up to play WAFL, shame it has to be with Subi (Polly must of been out of the car park when that deal went down?)
Regarding HB, I remember a certain 25yo club leader a few years back in 2010 who was also being naughty and banned from the leadership group, suspended from playing and training at the club for 5 weeks during the season. He was put through programs to address his behaviour and redeem himself to the team. I recon he has turned out alright, albeit we need to explain the meaning of "turn the other cheek" properly to him when out in Perth Night spots.
HB Banned from training he is, but the carrot of playing games is right there for him. Nothing to see here, standard proportional response used by many clubs to fire a shot across the bow, not just by us. What is missing here is the communication of the between the lines stuff of what is being done to help him aka community Alcohol programs to help him get out of his binging habits, senior player mentoring, +/- help with dealing with the stress of the last two years. I'd be very disappointed if this was not being addressed.
Truth of the matter is, he is not turning it on every two weeks and creating headlines. All reports suggest he puts high expectations on himself, is very focused and professional most of the time and keeps his head down. But like all of us he needs to find a way of letting off some steam that is acceptable to his chosen career.
I understand the Boss getting ticked at him not showing up to work, as do most bosses. He is still at work down at Peel it is not like he has been fired, the Boss has just got him shovelling the muck in the Stables. Move on people, he'll be back and hopefully making highlight reels like there is no tomorrow.
Crap decision by the club about the Photo shopping exercise. That should of been kept within house and not made public. Whoever made that decision should be made to go and spend 8 weeks over with the OOFTITs or helping Polly feed sheep in the double gee paddock
