See the bloke who has dealt with the major trauma of not being able to play football for two years and his resilience in getting himself right, time after time.

Its all there in front of you and with the right set of eyes its really plain to see.

He needed a major kick in the pants for what he did, but that's not what he got from us and the media.

He's can't afford bad publicity. Granted, the media are going to poke and prod him regardless, looking for a reaction and to create a story. But he doesn't need to spoonfeed it to them.

Fyfe might be able to get away with the same thing on a night before training, but the point is, that's never likely to happen.

That's the crux of it. The club has cut him loose for a while because they didn't want to have to deal with the bad press. If they were any good at managing these things then they could have given him a two game (pre-season where available) suspension like every Victorian football club would have and waited it out until the media were distracted by a tennis player with an attractive girlfriend.

The Rosich administration still has this inferiority complex about becoming a target for Eagles supporters teasing. I imagine he was a fat child or something, and the taunts have left him traumatised.

The issue is how do you show the other 41 players what is required to be an elite AFL player if you turn the blind eye on indiscretions. We’ve had 22 young players joined the club in the last 2 years. They need good leadership not puppets on a string. No player is bigger than the club. I hope HB sees this as a defining moment in his career. But he’s no saviour.

They're saying he will be photoshopped in. Really? That's just plain stupid. Either you don't want him included, in which case don't have him attend the photo shoot, or you do want him in the photo, in which case he attends in person.

This shows a club who doesn't know what it's trying to achieve and it's embarrassing.

Harley was told to stay away for 8 weeks in the hope that would make him realise what he would be missing if he was sacked. Inviting him back to take a photo would defeat that purpose.

The 8weeks isn’t a punishment. It’s designed to make him miss being part of the group and give him the incentive to be more dedicated.

I’m sure everyone involved hope it’s enough but that is up to HB.
