The club's logic was that he didn't fit into our best 22. The trouble with that logic is that you need depth to win a flag and The Pig would have helped with that. We have kept guys further down the list that will never be as good as someone we gave away.

I hope he wins a flag one day.

Funny how GWS are so pleased with his professional attitude, leadership and being a great mentor for the younger players.
So he's gone to a side that lacks experience and he is valued for what he brings. which is of course the same situation that we are in and what he could have done for us.
He's likely to be closer to a GF win with his new side than the side who didn't want value or want him.

While De Boer is a pretty handy player, he is no superstar of the comp, his disposal is not reliable by any measure, and his decision making is suspect at times. What he does have is a hardness at the footy, which GWS desperately need in their team. It is a bit rich to claim he would be a vital part of our team when there are calls for similar players to be sacked.

Well, apparently De Boer isn't good enough for our team yet he's good enough for a team that is substantially better than our team.

I'm not quite sure of the logic there but I'm sure someone will be able to justify it.

Perhaps if we had the coach that some people claim we have, he might have been able to get the best out of De Boer....or perhaps not.

Either way, stuff it. I wish De Boer well. He's a better player than some on here will credit but that won't matter because his current coaches do credit and they actually count for something.

Now lets talk about that Barlow crab while we're at it.....and Pearce (D). Yes, lets all talk about Pearce.....

Yeti I think RM is spot on. Brings hardness and a great attitude to training and being a professional footballer to a talented side that many believe are down hill skiers. He was a fringe player for us in his last seasons
