Have heard the same thing about Ellis, that he wouldn't let the recruiters up to his flat, met them elsewhere. The bloke I know was a scout and said Ellis was just a brilliant young kid. Certainly sounds like it too.
Taking opportunities when they arise should be the simple message to every young person everywhere. Involve yourself in life, because it can be bloody amazing.

Brilliant story and perhaps before we use pick 2 &5 we should establish what is really behind the person /character and then work out who is the go back to mummy risk

Pretty harsh there OGS I would have thought we have a very good record of keeping the players we want. We can't expect it to be all one way traffic, this year could be the opening of a new era in player movements.
Even this year I wouldn't be losing any sleep with our net outs and ins. Crozier feels a lot like a mutual decision between player and club, Balic seemed to have genuine issues and on a player welfare basis the club handled quite well from all accounts, leaving Weller while we would love to have kept has turned into possibly a watershed trade deal.

Telling tales in front of your colleagues at training course can be fraught. I recounted one as a young bank clerk in the '70s about my less than honest exploits as a younger lad. It was a bad choice and I had my bank manager onto my case once I returned – though what I did learn at the course earned me a chief general managers commendation some months later – so no harm done.
