So R1 for Meth Coast 4:10 start, game finished by about 6:40 sunset at 6:23 so minimal stadium lighting experience.
Vic day light saving ends Sunday 1st April 2 am so hopefully R2 is a late Sunday game for us given Easter Monday public hol the following day - better light show for us.
Haha...

PK, Suns and GWS still have to travel away from their home base. I understand that the arrangements to host the games away for both those teams, but the 2 Vic clubs are really not being disadvantaged. Hope that's a little clearer.

Jezza, that’s the equivalent of saying the hawks don’t get an advantage when they play us in Tassie. Which incidentally I think we’ll have to do again this year given we won’t have to travel to the Gold Coast.

Glad you mentioned the "light show" Shane - it's one of the things that has me worried about the Colindome.

On the basis that a kid will never not play with his toy, that the stadium is modeled on "new" - therefore American – principles (which, hopefully, will mean good things like wide concourses, places for folk to wait for breaks in play to go to their seats etc), the stadium operators haven't a deep connection with Aussie Rules and there's going to be a pressing need to create revenue using the whizz-bangery at their disposal, there's a real dnger we're going to be bombarded with a/v effects before, during, between and after play.

Which will be an epileptic-fit-inducing pain in the Sam Mitchells.
