Yep, quite right Agarn...but if he is"looking to improve" as a coach, then we can hope there is a shift towards flexibility and change. And on Johnno being a good kick at goal...he is on of the worst set shot or kicking from the square in the league. On the run he is fluid but from a set kick...gulp.

I suspect Johnno will play early in the season until Pearce is ready to return. Pearce you would think would have to come back through Peel having missed so much footy.

For me Id run with Logue in the back line and let Spurr fight it out for a spot with Hughes. Logue has SO much upside he has to play every game. I suspect Roly will disagree, Spurr will play. I assume he is still in the leadership group??

If you have to play Hughes, fine, then play Logue in the midfield or wing so we can have a look at him there as Agarn says.

2018 has been planned long before we started talking about who is going to be in our best 22. Mundy is now likely to be settled in the backline, where he started his career. Much like Matty Boyd. Blakely takes his spot in the midfield. Logue, Hamling, Mundy, Wilson, Pearce and Ryan is how I see this backline.

Fyfe, Neale, 2xHill, Langdon plus Darcy/Sandi not both.

Ballas, Walters, Bennell, Cammac, Cox, Kersten/Tabs

Bench: Blakely, Tucker, Hughes, Matera

Clearly it's dependent on injuries but that's my Rd1 lineup. Our veterans in Johnno and Sandi and Spurr likely to play a cameo role in 2018.

Then our prized picks 2 and 5. They're going to play but at whose expense.

I hope Mundy doesnt play back Jezza, hes too slow and nippy forwards will run rings around him. He needs to play forward where he can use his cunning and experience and neat kicking to effect.
I cant really see Tucker getting a regular game, even above Grey, injuries not withstanding.
Looks like curtains for Sutcliffe and T Train.
