TOPIC: Craypot movement

I've figured something out. They didn't give out all the good seats in the first allocation because they want a variety of seats to be available when the Harbourmasters and other long suffering members go looking to change their seats. That is why so many of us got shunted to the top of the 3rd tier stand looking into the sun.

But as Oliver points out, new seats will become available, either when members change their seats or decide not to renew. It may well turn out ok for those who have to wait...

So RR you're saying that by not giving them the seats they wanted in the first place they are keeping them available for them to change into later on?

Interesting system.

My guess is that over the next few weeks you'll see some seats in good spots pop up because people have upgraded or downgraded from their allocated seats.

FYI, I confirmed with the club that we'll be able to keep our allocated seats right up to the point we confirm a change to somewhere else in the ground. In other words, there's no risk in looking around. The last day to confirm seats is 28 November, so there's plenty of time.

I've got 8 people in my group so finding a better seat will be tricky, but I'm told you can split your group if need be.

Finally got seats but somewhere up in the clouds but heaps cheaper. Was previously in 2tier stand premium - why did they suddenly think I wanted to pay 1/2 the price and need binoculars to see. Hopefully can change to something better but at least now have seats which is a starter.

we first received an e-mail confirming our original seats,at exactly the same position as at subi.at $899each,last friday.
we also applied for sports lounge seats and got confirmation of these by e-mail yesterday.
a group of 6 seats in block 346,directly opposite the centre bounce.
so we are taking the 346 ones.i have had nothing but great response from the membership people throughout the process.
we will probably try these seats for the first season, and if we don't like them then shift next year.

We were thinking about the Sports Lounge or upgrading to Category 1. The terrible fixtures have changed our minds. Enjoying the 'premium' selection of frothies on all those Sunday games didn't sound too appealing!

Finally! My Quay Club membership has come in useful for something and I was allowed to change my seat allocations today.
I'm organising seats for a group of 4, and it was disappointing to see how little real choice there is left. So many whole sections and blocks of seats are already allocated, or unavailable, with only singles or pairs of seats left, unless you're happy to sit on back row of the nosebleeds, or down on the front row, on the boundary.
But, after 40 minutes on hold, I was able to secure 4 seats together in section 522, row 3. Not cheap, but not costing too much more than we paid for our old seats at Subi Oval, and we're under cover, well away from the afternoon sun, which seems like it might prove a problem in some parts of the ground.
The membership department also confirmed that stadium management have 'held back' a large number of premium seats for "their own use", not really sure what that means. Also, the 6000 or so seats supposedly being made available on a walk-up basis on game days are going to be situated in sections 101-107 and 150-158.

And I'm sure if you complained about something to stadium management they'd blame the clubs. Who knows where it starts and finishes. It's like trying to work out which is the top half of Chris Gayle's penis.

I’m disappointed there is no first in best dressed option, line up, pull the trigger and good luck. This could have aligned nicely with old style wooden kamikaze see saw and high monkey bars in the nature playground.

The online seat selection is something which has been lacking in Perth. Works better if you know the venue.I have notice a lot of movement in and out of my section. Had a spare seat next to me for a couple of hours.
There was talk by Karl on 6PR about going to the stadium and picking your seat and it was shot down as a silly idea.
Fremantle Football club did that in1994 at Subi.
You were told the day and time to turn up on a weekend and it went well. OK the membership numbers was a third but we could have it over two weekendsin 2017.
I am sure I got a call a couple of weeks from a membership person saying that is it OK to upgrade with no extra cost.
As a West Coast 1987 foundation member after their first premiership in 1992 I was shifted from a mere peasant supporter wing to the three tier behind goals without warning because the new expensive money bandwagon wing arrived in 1993..

It would have been nice to visit the stadium before the seat selection process. On the virtual seat review, first row seating seems below fence line with a view through the fence bars, which I am sure can't be accurate. When it's time to decide to keep or change seats it will be very nerve wracking.

Karl is as dull as a blunt spoon. Subi was already built. The Stadium is still a construction site. No one is getting in to check seats out.

Corps get a look-see in a month or so, but only in small numbers and specific areas.

Realistically, there is going to be a bit of chopping and changing for a couple of years.

Fortunately, the stadium won't be full for a couple of years at least.
