On another unsavoury note, having, over the years, had to put up with knobs (mostly Meth Coast supporters) over the McLeod debacle I've only today come to knowledge that we only had dibs on him due to the concession we were granted i.e. we were gifted players who had previously nominated for the AFL draft but not been selected.
Phil Smart pointed out the club had claims to McLeod only because he had nominated for the previous year's draft and been overlooked, ''so every other club had the chance to get him and nobody did''.
