Must be something in the water over here , He was recognized as a good Kick at the Hawks , Although the more likely scenerio is that his role was a little different with us , He actually got the ball more often in more pressure situations and the forward structure at the hawks was vastly different he would have known exactly where his team mates were at the hawks

I'm getting a little tired of the constant reference to BHill's turnovers. Anyone who runs as far as he does at the pace he does is going to do the occasional turnover. Couple that with playing in a new team where most of the forwards run around like headless chooks and you get a clearer picture of what actually happens.

The coaches know the value Brad brings to the team. Well done to him on his first Doig. I hope there are many more in the years to come.

You can be a very effective player and still have flaws. Pav didn't lay a single tackle in his last 100 games for Freo. It doesn't mean he was a hack.

B Hill isn't a great kick or tackler. That's ok. He makes up for it in running harder and better than anyone else on the park. That has immense value, especially in last quarters.

Good on him for winning it. Sure, it's a bit embarrassing that a guy that couldn't crack a top 10 finish at Hawthorn strolls in and wins his first B&F at Freo. But whatevs. He deserved it.

But if you ask me, Hodor was robbed for the Beacon Award.

Yep Bradley wasn't as bad as others have implied ,it was probably just a couple of absolute howlers that stand out in peoples minds . He had a great season so glad he is at the club

Perhaps Morgan, but i think Ryan is going to a star. He has all the attributes to be one. Only 11 games but in that time from what we've seen he doesn't seem to have a real weakness in his game.

Hill has elite skills and is a great kick. Freo were ranked 6th for disposal efficiency while Richmond were the worst in the league. I watched Wilson through the finals and he turns it over, big deal the guys that kick it the most do. Zac Dawson was at 87 % efficiency does that make him an elite disposer of the ball ?

You have got to be kidding. I am definitely living in a bizzaro world.
Yes his effort was excellent, but there were many games he absolutely butchered the ball throughout games.
I recall screaming out in one game at home not to pass to him as he was having a particularly bad day.
But why are we surprised. Ross and the coaching team value effort over skill , hence why he won.
He certainly has effort, but put him in congestion he butchers it as good as d Pearce.

If Sonny had kept fit, he would've won it by a street.
As for Brad, I was at the MCG for the Richmond game and he (along with Walters) was epic. No one could go with him. He's a jet and you're underestimating to difficulty of the game to think you can pinpoint every disposal when you're running 15km per game. Try it some time.
