For those talking about the quality of our list may want to take stock, at Hawthorn B Hill would not have been within shouting distance of winning their club champion.
However does validate the cubs position to use pick 23 to get him and use picks in the thirties to pick up Hamling and Kersten. Helps to give some perspective on the possible value of players such as Balic, Sutcliffe and Crozier. Low second round at best more likely third round.

I thought Belly was a great host and kept things rolling along without getting precious. All of the acceptance speeches were good, but Hayden Ballantyne provided the best one on the night - a bit nervous, but honest and full of wit.

So even though Brad Hill is judged the best player for Freo this year, he's not really that good. The fact that he played a different and difficult role this season doesn't come into it either. Nice snipe DBTS. Give the man credit for a good season can't you.

How can you possibly compare the season Brad Hill had at Fremantle to the one he might have had if he stayed at Hawthorn?

Anyone who went to the games this year would appreciate how hard this guy ran all day, and the repeat efforts he put in. If another 15-18 of his teammates did the same, 2017 wouldn't have been the sad sorry story that it was.

Sorry RM was not intended to be a snipe I am a big fan of B Hill and supported his recruitment from the outset as can seen by my previous posts. He had a sensational year and worked his tail off and deserves the accolade, at his age has plenty left in him as well. I hope some more can step up and help carry the load,
I stand by the statement relating to where the list is at and the work needed.

May run all day and be great at repeat efforts but that is little use when he continually turns the ball over. Massive upside with Hill but he must learn to kick over the preseason. Fyfe was our best by a mile this year, i didnt have Hill in my top 5.

Go back and look at the results when Walters led to B Hill. He hit Walters up a lot more often than not, because Mikey leads like he wants the ball. Barry Cable and Billy Walker would have had trouble hitting targets that are continually pointing back and sideways and across to where they want the ball kicked, but don't seem to get to where the ball should be kicked.

Tabs took a lot more contested marks this year, because he also led to where the ball should go, rather than play traffic cop. That meant he was at speed and hitting the contest.
