We've got Sandi for one more year, and Darcy needs another couple of pre-seasons to ruck alone. Hendrix, sadly, must be out of chances, and any ruckman we draft will be years away from being productive. So although I wouldn't waste pick 5 worrying about the ruck stocks, I do think we need a bridging solution in the ruck until Hodor is ready and another ruckman (hopefully from the rookie list) can step up.
You know who I'd go after? Majak Daw. He's still under contract with North, but he's unlikely to get a game behind Goldstein, Brown and Preuss. I reckon we could get him for nothing on the basis it frees up salary for North who have seemed pretty keen on going after free agents. He's 26 and could be a competent back-up ruckman, and provide a big target floating forward occasionally until other better players are ready..
The only downside is my wife might want to start coming to games.
