The midfielder argument can go on forever. I'm done with fulfilling needs. Get the engine purring and everything else falls into place. We've recruited and traded enough talls, why waste another high pick on one. They take longer to develop and we're running out of time. Wilson will serve our need from the HB line and together with Ryan, should start our attack with a little venom. No need for more talls please.

Bozza I like the sound of the second deal us giving up 5 and slipping to 9 and also receiving pick 24. I feel us giving up 5 and slipping to 11 and also giving up 40 as mentioned in another post is a much poorer result, don't understand why the club would have knocked back the first option to take the second.
Every time I listen to trade radio they are talking about next years draft being very strong and clubs being hesitant to trade future picks in that draft, so I think we are better to get the deal done this year and leave us with a clean book for next year.

We`re not trading pick 5 for a lower pick and Wilson. And rightly so. Its been said quite clearly by the club.
Wilson will get done this year or next for a lot less than a first round draft pick and there is no need to lose this pick 5 unless its a marquee player like a Hogan type, which clearly isnt going to happen.

Whoever we get with pick 5, just make sure the lad can kick. If we get another player that butchers the ball my head will explode.
