On Logue: he had a great chase down and tackle on a Subi guy streaming into the 50 in that last quarter - he sprinted and caught up and just did enough to affect the kick. Saved a goal at a crucial time.
On Luke Ryan: how brave is the guy? Got absolutely crunched backing into a marking contest, was super sore (I thought broken ribs for sure) but willed himself to the next few contests and repelled repeated Subi attacks. Hards as nails.
On Hodor: what a total legend this kid is. Just all round domination. Killed a couple of blokes in tackles.
My dad attended as an impartial observer and picked out Logue, Ryan, Hodor and Tabs as best on ground.
As an aside it was pretty funny when they had mark of the year and 4 out of the 5 were Liam Ryan. He would have been unlucky to lose that one. But it was great to see Nyhuis defend so well against him. He needs to be in the backline next year with Luke Ryan - hopefully we can pass them off as one player called Luke Ryan Nyhuis and have 19 on the field.
