From the calls I've heard involving Peter Bell and Docker's players (I.e. WAFL games involving Peel), I think the term I'm looking for is - with friends like that, you don't need enemies.

As I recall, he was also one of the first 'medja' types to sink the boot into us after the round 2 fiasco against Port.

Way to go to show you're support for a club that has publicly stated it's In the early stages of a long rebuild.

Sorry, but I do not see Belly as 'friendly' to Freo in media-terms.

But unless Pav or someone like Luuuuuuuke puts their hand up he'll be elected unopposed.

Jason. I think Bell was entitled to stick the boot in after Round 2 as were everyone else who was exasperated by Ross's so called rebuild when all he did was play favourites for the first 2 rounds at the expense of youth. Look what happened after the torrent of criticism the club received, Ross dropped a heap of old stalwarts, replaced them with youngsters and we went on a good winning run. I fail to see how Bell, by providing valid criticism, is, or was, being unfriendly to the club. Its his job in the media to call as he sees it, good or bad, and I have no issue with that.

Peter Bell is far from the clubman some seem to think and he has repeatedly shown very little allegiance towards the purple (in fact I have no doubt he'd rid us of the colour if he could). He was stoked to see us throw away all of our history after 2010 and never seemed to enjoy playing for us. He is another Steve plant that will follow their lead and avoid giving the members and supporters a say.

There's no point in having a member elected position if we don't actually have a say and a representative on the board and ex-players are far from that. When they are chosen as a champion by the rest of the board to provide themselves with another certain number, another 'yes man', they won't be making the decisions in our best interest.

We need a supporter, a fan, someone passionate about the club who will act in our best long term interest rather than trying to pad their CV. We need someone to go up against Bell.
