If you have a media machine behind you, like the likes of Kerr and co, or Martin, or Didak, nothing threatens your career. But if you are a Noongar from the wrong part of town, one incident sees you chucked to the wolves by all and sundry. This is not the first time we have seen the "hang 'em high" approach by the media, there have been numerous cases over the last 10 years. The media has been very good at giving the likes of the players and clubs mentioned above a protective screen if needed, but when they see they can ride the populist wagon they have no compunction in destroying a career.
