Yes, the real Scott genius was not putting Danger forward, it was countering the Sydney midfield. Sydney like to drop the ball to advantage, or go down on all fours over the ball, or lie on the ground with the ball positioned behind them, ready to be shovelled out to their players waiting on the defensive side. The Cats decided that if a Sydney player was on all fours over the ball, they could safely be thrown aside while another Cat got the ball. They also made sure they stopped the Sydney ball going out the back. Barring some help from the umps, I reckon Sydney will struggle next year, as everyone has seen how to do it.
