TOPIC: Mitch McGovern

I agree Naughton looks the goods but if given the option I would take McGovern over him every day of the week. One is a proven AFL contributor with plenty of growth in him, the other has played a couple of very good games at WAFL level with potential.
It's old news now,but McGovern would easily sit in our top ten players.

Please, Mitch Mac in our top 10 players. He's a third year player that we were offering overs to. Did you not see his game against the mob on the weekend. He did nothing. He could turn out to be a star, like his brother. He's no power forward and I suspect our Cam Mac will be much better than young Mitch in the coming years. You're selling our players short Seaman, time to give credit where it's due.

The offseason doesn't have to be long. Trade period starts in a month, then the draft and in fact pre-season training starts in early November for the 1-4 year players. Get down to the Cockburn ARC (if possible) and watch our herd prepare for 2018. In fact our women players will be in full swing for AFLW season. There is still finals on the horizon and perhaps a couple of players crossing the Nullabor to join us next year.

Lets not talk about cricket beyond thanking our lucky stars Davy Warner is standing at the gates delivering a level of unsurpassed consistency.

Damn you, hypen. Now I'm angry again. Try making runs in the both innings for a change, Warner.

And did you see his wicket review? Idiot.

All three stumps could be on the ground and he'd call for a review.

I'm just pleased that the cricket has cranked up now ZD has retired. I could not think of a better or more deserving replacement than Warner.

Nah, sorry Yeti but that's not what my argument is based on at all. It has nothing to do with what value either B Hill or pick 23 are, it's what Freo can get when a homesick West Aussie wants to come home and play with his brother. There was no other club trying to get him and no other club would have picked him up when he only wanted to go one place.

We had no competition for B Hill and still paid market value for him when we're not in contention for a premiership. We could have had him far cheaper the following year and maintained a quality kid at the same time for our rebuild.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Disagree Bizkit.

BHill was out of contract at a time when the Hawks were making a play for Omeara. We got him as cheap as possible and at the right time because the circumstances were just right.

A year on and no way

BH was a good get , so far GL underwhelms but at least he has a few years to develop. I have seen his height variously listed between 189 - 194 and thats a difference of about a ten cm reach. Anyone know the real story?
