Roly will work on getting that out of him during the off season.

The thing that Ryan has, that sets him apart from our current backline, is the ability to kick accurately over 60 meters. This enables him to hit the target in space behind the zone. We need more long accurate kicks back there.

Jeremy McGovern is 195cm - hardly short. He's also about to go back to back AA which suggests he doesn't only play well against us. He can play.

Nathan Wilson reminds me of Heath Black.

Does he give away too many frees for coming too high and too vigorous and too late into tackles, or is he a garden implement left foot?

I see Nathan Wilson helping out scoring as much Mitch McGovern.. With Wilson, Ryan and Weller coming off the backline we might be able to move the ball pretty quick giving any forward a fighting chance

But the quicker we move it forward, the less time the forwards have to catch up ...

Biz are you really suggesting that we used the corridor because a first year player with a handful of games took it upon himself, directly disobeying the coaches instructions.

I do. It's an unusual trait of players in our backline that is very much against RL's tactics of repeated switches. Ryan is a key driver of the attacking play out of defense.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Maybe he is the only one doing it, because he is the only backman who can kick long AND accurately.

Back to the topic, Sutcliffe has tried this kick over and over again throughout his time down back but continuously turns it over. This is my biggest gripe with him.
Am I the only one that has thought that our intention all this season has been to move the ball through the corridor. This is until we stuff it up with turn over from poor skill execution

RoLy's game plan is really a simple thing - no matter what you start a description with (i.e. long down the wing, short up the middle) it always ends with '...and hope for a stoppage.'
