I don't get this we don't want the useless crab but others will pay with their precious picks.

any player who has 100 games under their belt, played more than a dozen games this year, and is under 26 has some currency. What you get for them is why the trade game is fascinating.

CA , given what you said about young Gov at pick 43, "agree about the concern with the amount. Disagree with the number of the draft, Don't see how that has anything to do with someone being a valuable player or not. If it helps get his brother, great."

Sutcliffe has played in finals and over 100 games of experience. We need to keep players like him as backup. His draft number really then should be irrelevant. Getting back to youg Gov, he was ordinary yesterday against the mob. Now I hear the mob has offered Jeremy a 2 yr. extension at the end of 2018. He's baulking at that offer subject to his bro's movements in 2018. Surely it's a no at 750k/yr for Mitch. Jeremy might as well sign the extension.

Keeping Sutcliffe and Sheridan as backup is false economy. We know what they have to offer, and it does not include staying calm under pressure, Trade them and take a chance with someone else. Even Mason Cox would be a better option than either of them. And how good would it be to through "Our Cox is better than yours" at Eagles fans for the next 10 years.

If it means we get Jeremy as well, that changes things for me somewhat.

Would it be possible to do a deal to get both McGoverns this year?

Well if you're talking $750K for Mitch, Jeremy has to be worth $1.5M. At those prices, not a problem.

I wouldn't pay a million for both of them combined.

The look good, mainly against us, because we give the opposition defenders and forwards space to run into. Other teams do not allow uncontested marks so easily.

Check out the slime mcgovern. He gets around 3 times his normal average uncontested marks against us. Against better coached teams, he's nowhere near as effective.

I see no point in picking short people for marking skills when we need tall people with marking skills. Of course, if we do get tall people with marking skills, we'd play them at Peel anyway

I agree Yeti, we have got Kersten and Cammac filling that role, maybe we can trade like for like, but we don't need another 2. Otherwise our short tall forwards will outnumber our big bodied mids.

I think my eyesight is going on me. I thought we paid closer attention to our direct opponents yesterday, closed to being man on man footy. And the those kicks into the corridor, what's that about and I even saw patches of playing on immediately after a mark. Is this a new game plan or is it more the opposition we were playing.

The same thing happened after our first 2 losses, I wont be convinced until it is a Season long game plan.

I believe it's the personnel attacking the corridor opposed to a set game plan. Specifically Ryan and his attacking mindset. Even B Hill has lost that from his game and repeatedly goes backwards and across goals with disastrous results given his often poor disposal.

Ryan however tries to create with the ball and not only backs his ability to find a teammate in traffic, has the skill to pull it off. His addition to the backline has been fantastic and if we could add Wilson's speed to Ryan and Hughes, our backline is set for the next half dozen years.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.
