Having waded through countless posts on this forum since Sunday evening decrying how bad the Docker's are at present - I can't help by think that the 'fans' view of our predicament is a polar opposite to the playing group.
Tucker's signature for another two years builds on the recent spate of re-signings by predominantly younger players. Many of whom (I.e. Tucker, Weller (last year), Langdon, Darcy & Cox) are not native West Aussies.
Throw in Fyfe & Blakely signing on as well and it appears that the players, at least, are behind the 'rebuild'.
Looks like we'll lose Balic (homesickness works both ways), but of the other uncontracted players see here (
www.footywire.com/afl/footy/out_of_contract_players) - only Brady Grey, Ryan Nyhuis & Crozier, IMHO, are worth retaining as a priority. Some others such as Collins, Clarke Tabener & Suban may end up as trade bait or retained for depth, but the rest will either sign on (e.g. AA Johnno, Mundy, Ballas) or retire/ be delisted (e.g. Griffin & Ibbo).
The rookies - I hope they persevere with them all (I.e. Duman, Strnadica & Uebergang) as they are all tall (plus 192cm) and we will likely be light on in that department in both Zac Clarke & Griffin leave as expected.
