Roger, I don't mind being quoted, but even I can't remember exactly what I said about that prelim. I do remember being pretty happy about it, and Lyon was winning me over for a while there.

There was something about the relentless tackling aggression of that season and game in particular, that was watchable. It disappeared almost as quickly as they pulled it all together. I've been off the Rolywagon ever since.

The 3rd quarter in the 2013 Sydney Prelim was a high water mark for us, and probably for effort-based defensive pressure on the ball-carrier full-stop. Never since repeated. And the two main proponents of that time, Barlow and Mayne, long gone.

One of my most lingering memories of Subi will be that agonising FREEEE-OOOH that happened late in the 4th quarter yesterday (after we finally kicked a second half goal). Within a nearly gutted stadium it was the last gasp plea from deep inside our supporters for someone to do something. I sat there listening to a couple of gut wrenching repeats before I jumped up and gave it everything I could one last time from the city end.

If the footy club refuse to do something about RoLy than I would expect him to do the right thing and walk. It's not only the kids on our list that he's painfully killing, it's everyone. Walk away from the game you buffoon.

There is a lot I like about Ross and Freo. What I hate is Toss's inability to lock down a game when we are getting smashed- should be easy for such a defensive coach. This would make up for when we don't bury a team but should. We seem to lose both ways.
