But really, Eade's sacking started the moment he applied for the job. It may have taken them a couple of years, but at least one club can recognise a coach with an out-dated approach to playing the game ain't going to get you anywhere.

If you were a highly-regarded assistant coach on the cusp of a senior gig, would you even apply for the Suns job? No sporting team has ever been successful on the Gold Coast, and you’re likely to do your career more harm than good.

I think we all just acknowledge that the Gold Coast thing was a mistake, and relocate the squad to Tassie. Sure, they’ll probably never turn a profit down there either, but if you’re going to have a mendicant club for the sake of the 9th fixture every week, it might as well be in a proper footy state.

Finally a post I can completely agree with Morgan, the way the AwFL is sinking money into the Suns plus giving hand outs to north Melbourne & Hawthorn to play games in Tassie makes absolutely no sense.
It may not increase market share but Qld simply cannot sustain two clubs, the Lions have wallowed at the bottom of the ladder since the suns joined and would clearly benefit from being a one team state and one could argue would increase the standing of the game in qld if they were to get back into the finals on a regular basis again
