I thought she was pretty good with the whistle. Obviously it's a little different having a female field umpire in the game and that I didn't notice any change is a good indication of her being a quality umpire. The problem comes when umpires become so noticeable with their decision making or influence the crowd and supporters speak up. Her calls were all there though and she did a great job.

I hope we have her more often.

Better being called back and losing the advantage, than to have advantage called while you are being tackled. Also she seemed to have more of a balanced view of the time allowed for players to kick before calling play on.

Unsure of the officiating umpire but I thought some of the umpiring last night was ordinary. I have commented on the blocking interpretation in another thread. but holding the ball/incorrect disposal was poor, and Luke Ryan had one of the worst high tackles in the backs ignored that I have seen

She over ruled the closest umpire on a push out in a marking contest. I would like to see more of that from those gutless spivs. And she did not get sucked in on a head high tackle.

But a little pedantic at times, yes.

She called advantage in the goal square, Logue had stopped dead in his tracks and it cost us a goal.

I wonder if there will ever be a game where even if we win easily, get more free kicks than the opposition, the umpires have no influence over the result, yet we will still not manage to find some free kick that went against us to complain about?

None of them know how to bounce the ball.

Blatant hands in the back to Ballantyne, not paid. Numerous interference from non-controlling umpires.

I don't care if they are all female, it makes no bloody difference.
