Like it or not, winning is based on defense. Good teams have good defense. Restricting the opposition to 12 goals or less wins premierships, check the stats. Everyone knows this. Most inside 50s fail to score at all. Rapid inside 50s do much better because defenders are caught out. Bumping up your rapid inside 50s is great football. Ideally, you'd like every single one to succeed, but that is totally unrealistic, there's going to be a lot of failures. Obsessing about the few spectacular failures is retrograde. Do the numbers.
Brad Hill is a clear positive. If he could run like he does, plus deliver every ball perfectly, that would be out-of-this-world. Back here, he's doing more than ok.
