I like and value the movement and running that B Hill provides us, he's definitely been an asset this season. Having said that he's burnt a lot of disposals going forward and turns over a very large number of his touches. His value is his movement and pace which helps us break free in the middle but if he wants to be a good outside player, he has to start nailing those kicks and disposals.

B Hill, clangers 1. Hardly a large number of clangers. When players lead hard at him they get the ball lace out on the tit. It also took the commentators 6 replays to work out the "dribbled shot for goal" actually came off May's knee.

That 'dribbled' shot at goal wasn't even going to sneak in for a behind before May guided it through the goal posts and at least 50% of his kicks forward bounced 5m or more short of his target with about 30% of the rest no where near it. Of his disposals I think we retained possession somewhere between 10-20% of the time. That's not really good enough under the small amount of pressure he's normally under.

His brother on the other hand was fantastic with his disposal with most of them cutting through the middle and also hitting targets in dangerous positions. Nevermind the fact he often started in traffic and weaved his way out.

Having B Hill on the team is a net positive, but the pluses and minuses are pretty stark.

I still haven't figured out if he is a terrible kick who sometimes kicks well, or a good kick who often kicks poorly. I guess we'll find out over the next few years.

That kick was being fired into the hotspot before it hit May, and those kicks of his that bounce in front of players, I reckon, are because the leading player is not going hard enough at the ball. A couple of times last night Ballas led hard and fast at B Hill, (like he used to in his golden years) and got the ball lace out in a way that is impossible to defend.

I would also like the umps to pay as much attention to the holding and blocking OF Freo players as they do to the holding and blocking by Freo players, and then a few more of Hill's kicks will hit targets.

Brad is brilliant.. Always gives an option by running harder than anyone I have ever seen, also he turns the ball over sometimes because he is trying to make that hard kick on the 45 that opens up the whole ground.. When he makes that kick our forwards want to give him a man hug because they end up on the scoreboard!

They showed the metres ran by Dockers players and B Hill is 300 metres more than any other Docker player.A side and coach that wants to play a defensive game.His run is important to open up the play.Great recruit for Freo.

There was a photo in The Worst a few weeks ago (insert your preferred taxi, bus or homeless person story here) showing Brad in the action of kicking. He had dropped the ball towards his foot and in my books, he should have been following the ball onto his foot. Instead he was looking straight ahead at his target. It's just a guess but if that is his regular kicking action it might explain why the occasional one goes skew-wiff.

DS that something they can work on with Brad over the next pre-season.If they can fix that he's an A Grade Midfielder.Not to many taggers are going to keep up with him.
