At this stage imo Luke Ryan is possibly the pick of our first year players. Not that others haven't shown good signs but he seems a natural. Great kick and mark and shows plenty of poise for someone so inexperienced.
He's not big enough to hold down a key position but he seems to be the intercept marker we haven't had since Ibbo lost form.
In a recent post some here were saying we needed to draft a long kicking dashing half back. Perhaps we've already got one.
We have good history of drafting older players and I'd like to see us keep this up. You've actually had a chance to see them play regularly in a senior competition, not just a few U 18s and colts games.
Understand you always go for acouple of youngsters but someone like Tim Kelly seems a natural. He reminds me of Daniel Wells in the way he sort of glides across the ground. Any info on his age and background?
