I thought the holding the ball call against Mundy in the forward pocket early in the last quarter when he was 2 metres out of bounds was critical.

How good was it to see Fyfe back to close to his best? Freo's last goal to set up by Fyfe's towering mark, quick release to Hill and classy finish by Tucker was a thing of beauty.

But if it's taken 3/4 of a season for a Brownlow Medalist to get back to his best, I can forgive CamMac for taking a bit longer.

It's painfully obvious we need another target though. When our players see Fyfe ahead of them they go fast and direct to him. But he can't be the only target. If we had one of Cameron, Patton or Lobb we'd be a much better team. It seems a bit unfair GWS has all three.

I thought Tucker played a pretty solid game today. Seems to be a fairly calm, steady head..... Nothing flashy, but finds space, and makes some good decisions. Starting to be more relevant in games, and bodes well for the future....

Happy with our effort out in the West of Sydney against the Giants.

Losing Blakely hurt us and I think Grey was operating with one arm.

We were terribly unlucky to lose that game. Our ability to score at will isn't really the problem. Its our inability to stop the goals the other way is what we need to improve drastically. Everyone things that getting another forward is the answer. Johnson aside, our collective games experience with the same guys plaing in those positions on weekly basis is the issue. We used to average 66 pts against prior to 2016, enough to win more than win lose. Bring that number of points against down, we'll start getting the Ws.

Kick a few more goals with a decent attacking game plan and prolong the carreers of a few quality backs and midfielders....

A great effort, but terribly unlucky??
12 more scoring shots and 14 shots to two was it in the last quarter.
Pleased with the improvement but we were terribly lucky that they didn't win by more.

CA, GWS are filled with top end talent. Off course they had more scoring shots in the last that's what a premiership contender should be doing to s bottom 4 side like we did to them in 2012-2013, when we beat them by 100+ points. The fact remains with all their talent, their premiership window is wide open but it can closed very quickly.

Get Lyon to coach them. That'll shut it quicker.

Corp: I disagree, we should've won that game. They were lethargic and couldn't cope with the way we shut down their flow on the outside. They are a bunch of precocious big heads that don't like hard graft - that's why they've got Matty and a couple of others in their side to help them along. Patton was slewing them all over the place, stands to reason - his neck is bigger than his noggin. If it wasn't for the Black Ducks they drafted in (Coniglio and Lobb) they would've never gotten over the line.

I just think it was luck - next time we'll clean them up.

Can't see any bad luck in that loss....14 scoring opportunities to 2 in the last qt pretty much sums it up

They jagged some marginal goals in that last, as much as they missed some easy ones. They also probably missed some of the easy ones due to the same reasons that a younger team like our's has been stopping in the last quarters lately, fatigue.

It's inevitable the ability to run out a game, across a season, will improve as the list develops.
