Crozier has spent the past few weeks running around like a headless chook. I reckon Ross is finding out plenty about his players who aren't in the top 10 or so at the club. Ballas is stinking it up but is not fit so I give him a break. We had two occasions where 3 of our blokes went for the same footy and didn't mark it. Tucker had a cracker against North but was horrible last night. This is all part of the ups and downs of a rebuild which we're doing without a genuine CHF or FF and with our best CHB and future vice captain recovering from a broken leg and not having played all year.

Oh, and we've got a 19 year old fresh out of the TAC leading the ruck.

I doubt whether the game is so complex that it's past any current coach. You need a certain amount of experienced and quality players with buy in to each other and the coach to have success. I wouldn't think Neale, Fyfe or even the young Darcy would've signed up if they thought the coach didn't have a clue.

Even though the older players aren't performing that well, there is no perceivable game plan and our forward line is complete mess.

That's a prime example of a forward structure gone wrong. Look at how they play and tell me they don't bomb the ball into their forward line monotonously. They're supposed to be a premiership contender. With what they've got coming through East Perth, they're in a whole lot of hurt from now till eternity. Our transition is going along nicely and yes yesterday's game we digressed. But take off the blinkers and see the bigger picture. We've got holes to fill and so have many others but it'll be filled. Fyfe and co. will take us to the promised land. It's about who wants to follow.

The reason we are losing is pure and simple. No dangerous forwards. We are ranked 17th for total points scores, just six points ahead of the 18th ranked team. No Pav, No Ballas, No Mayne and Walters playing as a mid. Two tallish forwards who are struggling and a midfield that likes kicking to the opposition backmen. Our stats suggest we get it into our 50 often enough to win but we have no impact when it arrives. You can't win unless you score more than the opposition!

Disagree. Kennedy bags 6 goals and Darling a couple and still no cigar. They've got the Gov and a few handy backmen and lost the plot. It's won in the midfield and their connection with the forwards. That's what we lacked yesterday and the lack of run. Stop over analyzing. It's a simple game.

FFC weren't selling the promised land - ie a premiership. They were selling continued success - which is something the WCE can actually claim. Despite finishing too well to get top drafts picks, they continue to make finals.

Despite Freo only having a 3-year radar blip of partial success, we remain the Richmond of WA. With, apparently, the best coach going around....

If it's so simple, why can't Lyon do it?
